GISA ‘AA’ STATE PLAYOFFS: KNIGHTS AND LADY KNIGHTS FALL IN SWEET SIXTEEN

The Windsor Academy varsity boys basketball team lost 76-45 to Gatewood as part of the GISA ‘AA’ State Playoffs. The Lady Knights also lost 70-38 to the Brentwood Lady Eagles.

Despite Sophomore Blayze Dennis scoring 20 points and Junior Jaboree Goodson adding 18 points, the #5 Windsor Knights fell by the score of 80-76 to #2 Terrell in the GISA ‘3AA’ Region Championship @ Windsor. Other top scorers: Sophomore Andrew Brooks 13, Senior Matthew Scarbary 12, and Junior Shaheed Butler 8.

The Windsor Lady Knights lost 46-25 to the SW GA Lady Warriors in a consolation game in the GISA 3AA Region Tournament.

Junior Jaboree Goodson led the #5 Windsor Knights with 31 points in a 73-62 upset of the #1 Southwest GA Warriors to secure a spot in the GISA ‘3AA’ Region Championship @ Windsor. Other top scorers: Sophomore Blayze Dennis 18,  Junior Shaheed Butler 14, & Senior Matthew Scarbary 8.

Shaheed Butler led the #5 Windsor Knights with 29 points in a 89-76 shocker against the #4 Crisp Academy Wildcats from Cordele. Other top scorers: Senior Matt Scarbary 14, Junior Jaboree Goodson 14, Sophomore Andrew Brooks 14, and Sophomore Blayze Dennis 8.

The #5 Lady Knights’ trip to the Championship ended with a 67-36 loss to the #1 ranked Westwood Lady Cats. The team got to the 2nd round with a 52-38 win over the #4 Crisp Academy Lady Wildcats. Both Windsor teams qualified for the GISA ‘AA’ State Basketball Tournament.
